PlayStation News: Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age Remaster Coming to PS4 in July

Fans will be excited to know that FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE will release on July 11 for the Playstation 4.

The announcement took place during the FINAL FANTASY 30^th Anniversary Opening Ceremony event in Tokyo, accompanied by a brand-new piece of key art from famed character designer and artist Akihiko Yoshida.

FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE features the world of Ivalice like never before with enhanced high-definition graphics and for the first time ever, western audiences will be able to experience the Zodiac Job System, a 12-job character progression system first introduced in the Japan-only release, FINAL FANTASY XII International Zodiac System. The title will also feature a remastered soundtrack, 7.1-surround sound, an auto-save feature, faster loading times, a new Trial Mode and more.

Originally launched in 2006 for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system and known for introducing many landmark features to the FINAL FANTASY series, FINAL FANTASY XII takes place in the grand world of Ivalice, where the small kingdom of Dalmasca is left in ruin and uncertainty. Princess Ashe, the one and only heir to the throne, devotes herself to the resistance to liberate her country. Vaan, a young man who lost his family in the war, dreams of flying freely in the skies. VideoGame News: Square Enix Kicks Off Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Celebration

At today’s official FINAL FANTASY® 30th Anniversary Opening Ceremony in Tokyo, Square Enix Ltd., commenced a year-long celebration for the franchise’s 30-year legacy, revealing new details, art and videos surrounding some of the franchise’s most anticipated games, including FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE, FINAL FANTASY XV, and FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE.

Square Enix also unveiled the official FINAL FANTASY 30th Anniversary logo. Fans can join the celebration by sharing their favourite FINAL FANTASY memories using the hashtag #FF30th. Fans can also tune in to the SQUARE ENIX Twitch channel from 14:00 GMT / 15:00 CET today where the community team will be playing through and talking about a selection of fan favourite games in the FINAL FANTASY series.

During the opening ceremony announcements were made by some very special guests, including, Shinji Hashimoto (Square Enix Executive Officer,FINAL FANTASY Brand Manager), who presented information about future new content in the series as below;

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE
Brand-new key art for the highly anticipated FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE was unveiled, depicting the game’s protagonist and mercenary Cloud and his iconic Buster Sword set to the background of Midgar, base of the Shinra Electric Power Company.

FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE
European players can look forward to returning to the world of Ivalice in FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE on 11^th July 2017 for the Playstation®4 computer entertainment system. The visual and audio remaster of series classic FINAL FANTASY XII will feature a job character progression system for the first time in the West. New key art from famed character designer and artist Akihiko Yoshida was also revealed, featuring the main cast of the game including Ashe, Balthier, Fran and Vaan.

FINAL FANTASY XV : Episode Gladio DLC
The first sneak peek at some of the upcoming DLC for FINAL FANTASY XVwas showcased on-stage, highlighting the brand-new perspective players will experience in the coming months. The FINAL FANTASY XV Booster Pack (Free Version) and FINAL FANTASY XV Booster Pack + are scheduled for release on 21st February, and will be available for all players or Season Pass holders, respectively. The DLC content will include powerful items such as the invincible outfit, “Magitek Exosuit” that give players an advantage during battles.

FINAL FANTASY XV Episode Gladiolus releases on 28^th March, and will be available to players who purchased the Premium Edition or Season Pass and can also be purchased separately via the Xbox Marketplace or the PlayStation Store. Through this DLC, players can enjoy an episode depicted from Gladio’s perspective. Gilgamesh, one of the franchise’s fan-favorite characters will also be making an appearance in the episode.

FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS
FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS, the full-scale FINAL FANTASY adventure for mobile devices which has achieved over 20 million downloads worldwide, recently began a spectacular in-game collaboration event with internationally renowned artist and actress Ariana Grande. All players will be able to acquire “Dangerous Ariana,” the Ariana Grande-inspired character exclusively designed for FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS until the 2^nd of February by completing the first stage of the special in-game event, “Dangerous Woman Tour.”

Square Enix Ltd., today launched the Moogle Chocobo Carnival for FINAL FANTASY®XV, a special in-game event taking place in the city of Altissia.

Scheduled to run until 20^th February, the Moogle Chocobo Carnival brings a selection of fun carnival games, new side-quests, new outfits for Noctis as well as a spectacular fireworks show and many more festive treats!

All players will have access to the carnival by downloading the recently released Holiday Pack (Free Version). SQUARE ENIX announced that the shipment and digital sales for FINAL FANTASY XV have exceeded six million units.

VideoGame News: New ‘101’ Trailer and Day One Update Info For Final Fantasy XV

Square Enix Ltd., today released an all-new 101 trailer for the highly anticipated FINAL FANTASY XV. The 101 trailer explores gameplay mechanics, characters and more – providing viewers with everything they need to know about the game before their epic journey of brotherhood, exploration and action begins on the 29^thNovember!

As well as an overview of the game’s story, the new trailer also offers explanations of FINAL FANTASY XV’s combat system and its blend of magic spells, summons and real-time battle action, as well as in-depth introductions to Noctis and his three comrades.

In addition, details of a launch day update were also released. The Crown Update will be available to download automatically on the games release from the 29^th November. The Crown Update is the result of some additional time for development since mastering the full game, and provides a variety of updates, minor bug fixes and new features to greatly enhance the overall story and gameplay experience.

The upgrade provides enhancements for several elements within the game including:

• Improvements to the camera with new options to better assist and track the action in tight spaces and to improve visibility during battles
• The addition of an ability tree for the Wait Mode function improves the strategic element of this feature
• Players can obtain the “Beast Whistle” which can be used to call monsters to battle

VideoGame News: New E3 Reveals for Final Fantasy XV

New footage revealed during the Microsoft and Sony press conferences, as well as the “Active Time Report E3 2016 Day 0 Edition” officially kicked off Square Enix’s FINAL FANTASY® XV E3 activities. The never-before-seen footage from the FINAL FANTASY XV universe included KINGSGLAIVE: FINAL FANTASY XV™ and BROTHERHOOD FINAL FANTASY XV™.

Microsoft’s E3 press conference featured an action packed “Trial of Titan” demo that will be fully playable at Square Enix’s booth. Sony’s press conference then revealed the game’s E3 trailer with music provided by Grammy Award winning DJ and Producer afrojack in collaboration with SQUARE ENIX®.

Later in the day, the “Active Time Report E3 2016 Day 0 Edition” revealed a first look at the second episode of the anime series, BROTHERHOOD FINAL FANTASY XV, along with the E3 trailer for the full-scale movie, KINGSGLAIVE: FINAL FANTASY XV.

Moreover, the game director Hajime Tabata will unveil new information about the game during two special stage presentations livestreamed from the Square Enix booth:
