Marvel Movie News – Paul Rudd Officially Cast as Ant Man

After much speculation, it has finally been confirmed that Paul Rudd, has been cast to play the role of ‘Ant Man’, directed by Edgar Wright due for a July 2015 release.

Rudd will play the title role of Dr Hank Pym, who becomes Ant Man, capable of manipulating his size from normal human to as small as an Ant to giant proportions using his ‘Pym Particles’. In the comic books he is also the creator of Ultron, who plays the main villain in the upcoming Avengers sequel but there is no currently confirmation that this origin will be used for the Avengers storyline.

A very rough recording was made of an ‘Ant Man’ teaser trailer from this year’s Comic Con is below, it shows the costume and use of powers in a very short fight but shows just how his ability to shrink could be used. Will be very interesting to see how Edgar Wright handles this movie and Marvel Hero.
