It what has been a surprise to many UK Sherlock fans, the US broadcaster, PBS, have actually announced that Series 3 of Sherlock will be shown from January 19th 2014. The BBC have yet to say when Sherlock will return to our screens, with the speculation that it could be late November but surely not until after the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary has run.
PBS have confirmed that the series will continue with its feature length 90 minute episodes, will have a 3 episode run. Why the BBC have yet to announce the UK air date continues to be a frustration for UK fans, after all, it is our license fee that made Sherlock possible in the first place.
Hopefully the BBC will now react and let us all know when we can hope to see the new series, which the US has previously enjoyed a couple of months after UK Broadcast.
