*My Thoughts:

I am really liking how ‘Suicide Squad’ is shaping up so far. Still not convinced by the choice of Will Smith as Deadshot, but with his on screen partnership with Margot Robbie, who was a sublime casting choice for Harley Quinn, proven with ‘Focus’ it could well be something special on camera.

DC really need this film to get fans onboard for what they plan to do following ‘Dawn of Justice’ and leading into Justice League. Very much emphasis has been put on the film being the big introduction to Jared Leto’s Joker, which it will be but the film could well be the ‘Ironman’ film with David Ayer doing for their plans what John Favreau accomplished for MARVEL.

Was not keen on the look of Harley in the photo but a close up gives me more hope for her look, just not a fan of the doodle style tattoos on her legs at the moment, but warming to the look and Margot Robbie for me will be the stand out performance in Suicide Squad.

DC Comic News: Director of ‘Suicide Squad’ Unveils The Joker for Character’s 75th Anniversary

Joker 25th

To celebrate the character’s 75th Anniversary, the director of the ‘Suicide Squad’ film David Ayer, chose to unveil Jared Leto’s official look for The Joker for the first time:

I really love this look, its modern, fresh and quite twisted. The only criticism I have is the ‘Damaged’ tattoo on the forehead which for me labels The Joker in a way that is too obvious. His actions, demeanour and presence should be all you need to know to understand that ‘something is not right’ with this character!

But it does end all the speculation about what Leto’s look will be like and is a refreshing take on the character for the big screen.
