Almost a year has passed since The Flame in the Flood first released on Xbox One and STEAM for PC in 2016. Now finally a release date of January 17th has been given to the Playstation 4 version and as a reward for their patience, PS4 fans will enjoy ‘The Flame in the Flood: Complete Edition” with a few extras:
This new version will add a director’s commentary, a dynamic theme and avatars and unspecified “gameplay enhancements”.
The Flame in the Flood: Complete Edition is a wilderness survival game in which a girl and her dog travel on foot and by raft down a procedurally-generated river. Scrounge for resources, craft tools, remedy afflictions, evade the vicious wildlife and, most importantly, stay healthy in a dangerous wilderness.
I reviewed the original for MoviesGamesandTech.com for Xbox One, and it completely blew me away with its visual style, the musical score and soundtrack but most of all it was the accessibility it offered to the survival game genre and such a beautiful story told as you fight to survive the river.
